close Introduction Singapore was designated UNESCO Creative City of Design in 2015. The accolade is given to cities that have identified creativity as a strategic factor for sustainable urban development. Securing the title puts Singapore on the world map and creates opportunities to learn from and collaborate with the existing 115-strong UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN). As a UCCN member, Singapore gains entry to exhibitions, forums and projects hosted by member cities. Singapore will also participate in annual UCCN meetings, where members convene to engage in thought leadership and exchange best practices.
