         Singapore’s Minister for Communications and Information, Mr S Iswaran, will visit Brunei Darussalam from 3 to 4 November 2018. Mr Iswaran will attend Rapsodi where he will be the co-Guest of Honour with Awang Abdul Mutalib Pehin Dato Yusof, the Brunei Minister for Communications. Mr Iswaran will also meet other senior Bruneian officials during his visit.

2         Rapsodi, an annual variety show co-produced by Radio Televisyen Brunei (RTB) and Mediacorp’s Suria, will feature artistes from both Brunei and Singapore. The theme for this year’s Rapsodi is “Muzik Kita Lagu Kita” (Our Music Our Song). It will be broadcast “live” on 3 November 2018, 8.30pm on Suria and RTB’s Aneka and Sukmaindra simultaneously.

3          Rapsodi is produced under the auspices of the Singapore-Brunei Memorandum of Understanding Concerning Co-operation in the Field of Broadcasting and Information. Also pursuant to this MOU, the 28th Joint Technical Committee (JTC) on Broadcasting and Information will be held on 2 November 2018. Government officials from Singapore and Brunei will be meeting to discuss bilateral cooperation between Singapore’s Ministry of Communications and Information and Brunei’s Prime Minister’s Office, and the two countries’ broadcasters. The JTC will be co-chaired by Pengiran Datin Shazainah Pengiran Dato Paduka Shariffuddin, Permanent Secretary (International) of the Prime Minister’s Office, Brunei Darussalam, and Mr Gabriel Lim, Permanent Secretary (Communications and Information), Singapore.
