Overview

The importance of enabling Singaporeans to become digitally ready is to first have access to technology that can improve their lives, to be able to understand and use technology confidently, and to embrace technology in various aspects of their lives, whether in pursuing their hobbies or connecting with communities. Building on the various digital inclusion, information and media literacy, as well as cybersafety initiatives by the Ministry and its agencies, MCI will be setting up a digital readiness programme office to plan and drive these programmes in a more holistic manner. The office will also be working with other public, private and people sector partners to drive a whole-of-nation strategy to build a digital society.
